A woman said a group of teens attacked her on the 606 Trail in Chicago and she said it's the same group of teens seen in a video, attacking a man in the Logan Square neighborhood.

Jean Godfrey tells ABC7 she was walking her dog Tuesday night, when the teens attacked her.

"They didn't take anything, I actually had my phone out and I had a purse on me, but they didn't try taking any of my belongings, it seemed like they were just trying to torment me," Godfrey said.

Godfrey wasn't hurt.

Levi Frerichs said the same teens attacked him last week as he was walking home in Logan Square and said they were yelling homophobic slurs at him.

Dozens of pickpocket thefts have been reported around popular lakefront Maggie Daley Park in downtown Chicago recently, and police are warning visitors to be vigilant. Police said they are investigating what may have been a spree of thefts.

Chicago police said on July 30, pickpockets pulled off 32 thefts throughout the heart of the city, most inside Maggie Daley Park.

"It's a safe area and we feel safe but we're always on alert and conscious of our surroundings," said Krissy Cushman, resident.

The park has been a popular destination, where young families spend summer days and children scramble over playground equipment.

"It's sad because it really is a beautiful place to be, and families come to enjoy themselves. And we definitely don't want any crime happening around here," said Tina Daniel.

The spree of purse snatchings and wallet thefts started almost at the stroke of midnight during Lollapalooza weekend and kept pace all day July 30.

"I think with Lolla in town and the amount of traffic we have in this area this time of year, it will bring the people that know the traffic will be here, know people are visiting from out of town and they're probably going to be carrying money," said resident Robert Militello.

Police said all of the thefts happened between Grant Park and Chicago Avenue, one of the most bustling areas of the city on a weekend where millions of people flocked downtown.

"Every security expert on the planet will tell you that watching that and being aware of what's going on around you will be less likely to make you a victim," Mlitello said.

Police have not said whether they believe any or all of these incidents are connected or may have been committed by the same person or people, but they are asking people who come to the downtown area to be even more aware than usual.

Two robberies on the UIC campus are now being linked to a suburban crime spree.

Investigators believe suspects in a luxury SUV that was stolen in Chicago are linked to a series of robberies in the south and southwest suburbs.

While no one has been caught, suburban police confirm a black Land Rover has been recovered in the city's northwest side. Its' the same vehicle many people have reported at UIC and the south suburbs.

From an urban college campus to small rural towns, armed robbers have been busy this week. The Peotone police chief met Friday with a Monee, Ill. detective to share information about several incidents involving a group of robbers driving a stolen black Land Rover.

On Wednesday, four Peotone, Ill. residents under the age of 20 were held up while walking in a quiet subdivision.

"One of the ladies tried to hide her phone, and they reached down in clothing, tried to grab phone, people starting arguing, some got hit in the head with guns but no serious injuries," Chief Bill Mort, Peotone Police Department, said.

Police said after stealing phones, purses and wallets, the robbers took off in the Land Rover.

Similar incidents were reported in Manteno, Ill., Matteson, Ill., Bolingbrook, Ill. and Hickory Hills, Ill. For Peotone residents, it's a reality check that crime can happen anywhere...

"I lived here 34 years and never locked my garage door in my life, I now lock it every night and turn on all the lights outside, I have motion sensors on the lights," Paul Bockelman, Peotone resident said.

Bockelman said he also relies on his dog and the Second Amendment to keep safe.

Meantime, police believe the suburban crimes are linked to two more on or near the UIC campus. An employee was robbed in a UIC parking lot Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning, a student was robbed near south Racine and Taylor Street.

Students say they are taking precautions after receiving alerts from campus police.

"Once it gets dark, I don't listen to music, I don't carry my stuff, I pay more attention than during the day when there are people around," Cloie McClellan, a UIC grad student said.

UIC police advise students even during the day, especially when they're walking alone, do not have headphones or earbuds in and do not walk around displaying your phone.

No one has been caught but police believe the suspects are teenagers.

US government can construct tyrannical regime and defend them (as Carter did with the Sadat dictatorship). They can also bribe regimes to make peace with Israel (as Carter did with Sadat).  US Congress can put pressure and offer inducements to compel Arab tyrannical regimes to normalize with the Zionist occupation entity.  But it is high time that they know that the Arab people (aside from Marwan Muasher and a few Arabs favored by Western journalists) are in no way interested in normalization.  Egyptian syndicates all adopted rules and penalties regarding normalization.

"US Syria policy has been dependent on the military potential of the Nusra Front (and its close ally, Ahrar al Sham) for leverage on the Syrian regime, since the “moderate” opposition was unable to operate in northwest Syria without jihadist support. This central element in US Syria policy, which both the government and the media were unwilling to acknowledge, was a central obstacle to accurate coverage of what happened to the Syrian ceasefire."
